This is a group that houses some of the best works that DeviantArt has to offer. We appreciate masterful use of light and color in artistic works above all else. We accept all forms of artistic media and expression, so long as they reach a certain standard and have well-executed dramatic lighting and diverse colors.

Please feel free to join or watch the group! Rest assured you will only receive fantastic deviations in your deviantWatch.

JOIN THE GROUP to submit or suggest artwork. All join requests are approved automatically.

Anyone can join, but art submissions are moderated. You can suggest yourself, just note that we have a high standard! Your art will be voted in or out by our mods.

Remember - this group is called Light AND Color, not Light OR Color. Deviation submissions can't have one and not the other! That means NO black and white pieces here. This should be obvious, but the number of grayscale submissions we get is sort of ridiculous.

Submit only your best work!
Please don't be discouraged if your work is not accepted. It may have been a great piece but just not colorful/bright enough! Our admins and contributors are always happy to give critiques, if you request one.

If your submission expires, feel free to resubmit, sometimes we are very busy! However, do NOT keep resubmitting the same piece if you have already been declined.
